Article IX: Liaisons to Other Organizations
Section 1 Medicare Liaison
The Society shall have two Medicare Liaisons, one for Diagnosis and one for Radiation Oncology, and an Alternate Liaison for each.
- The Liaisons shall keep up to date with changes in Medicare reimbursement and policies and interact with the Medicare intermediaries. They shall keep the Executive Committee informed of changes in Medicare reimbursement and policy.
- The Medicare Liaisons are appointed by the President and each serve two-year terms. At the end of the two-year term, they may succeed themselves in office.
- The Alternate Liaisons for Diagnosis and Radiation Oncology are appointed by the President and succeed the Liaisons when a vacancy occurs.

Section 2 Texas Medical Association (TMA) Liaison
The TMA Liaison serves as liaison between the TMA and the TRS. The TMA Liaison:
- is appointed by the President for a two-year term.
- serves as the Societys representative to the TMA, attending the annual TMA Inter-Specialty Society meetings.
- informs the Executive Committee of the Activities of TEXPAC.
- reports to the Chairs of the Practice Council and the Judicial and Governmental Council.
