Article V: Sections of the TRS
Section 1 Section of Radiation Oncology
- Membership in the Section of Radiation Oncology is open to those members of the TRS who practice Radiation Oncology or who have a demonstrated interest in this specialty. Active participation in the affairs of the TRS is encouraged and is requisite for election to office in the Chapter.
- The Section of Radiation Oncology has separate bylaws, which may augment but not replace the bylaws of the TRS.
- Members of the Section on Radiation Oncology elect their own officers and define their own scientific programs, socioeconomic interests, and business.
Section 2 Section of Medical Physics
- Membership in the Section of Medical Physics is open to those members of the TRS who practice Radiation Physics or who have demonstrated interest in this specialty.
- The Section of Medical Physics has separate by-laws, which may augment, but not replace the by-laws of the TRS.
- Members of the Section of Medical Physics elect their own officers and define their own scientific programs, socioeconomic interests and business.
Section 3 Resident Physician Section
- All Members in Training of the TRS shall be members of the Resident Physician Section.
- The Resident Physician Section has separate bylaws, which may augment but not replace the bylaws of the TRS.
- The Resident Physician Section elects its own officers. The Chair of the Section is a non-voting member of the Executive Committee.
- Members of the Resident Physician Section are encouraged to apply for Active Membership in the TRS upon completion of training.
