Bylaws of the Texas Radiological Society

Article XI: Councils
There shall be eight Councils: Judicial and Governmental Council, Education Council, Member Services Council, Organizational Structure Council, ACR Relations Council, Practice Council, Information Council, and Ways and Means Council. Each Council shall be comprised of committees with similar missions.
Section 1 Council composition and terms
Each Council Chair shall be a member of the Executive Committee and each member of the Executive Committee, except the President, shall have responsibility for one of the Councils and the standing committees and Liaisons that are assigned to it.
- Standing committees and Liaisons assigned to each Council are as follows:
- Judicial and Governmental Council (President-Elect)
- Legislative Committee
- TRS PAC Committee
- Medicare Liaison
- TMA Liaison
- Judicial Affairs Committee
- Education Council (First Vice- President)
- Program Committee
- Local Arrangements Committee
- Resident Physician Committee
- ACR CME Liaison
- Member Services Council (Second Vice-President)
- Membership Committee
- Long Range Planning Committee
- Organizational Structure Council (Immediate Past-President)
- Bylaws Committee
- Nominating Committee
- ACR Relations Council (Chief Councilor)
- ACR Resolutions Committee
- ACR Fellowship Committee
- Practice Council (Vice Chief Councilor)
The Practice Council does not have any standing committees. The following ad hoc committees will be created when deemed necessary by the President:
- Nuclear Radiology Committee
- Technologist Advisory Committee
- Radiology Practice Committee
- Information Council (Secretary)
- Communications Committee
- Information Technology Committee
- Ways and Means Council (Treasurer)
