]]> Texas H.B. 2102 - Henda’s Law http://www.txrad.org/index.cfm/trs-forum/texas-hb-2102/ http://www.txrad.org/index.cfm/trs-forum/texas-hb-2102/#comments 217547DA-AF99-90D5-A8E39BD940FA60F6 Mon, 30 Apr 2012 18:02:00 -0400 Texas H.B. 2102 known as Henda's Law became effective September 1, 2011, but mammography facilities are not required to comply with the requirements of this law until January 1, 2012.  The law requires mammography providers to notify their patients with dense breast tissue that their dense breasts could hide abnormalities, and that they may benefit from supplemental screening tests if they have other risk factors for breast cancer.  Read more details, or check out our online forum for more discussions on this topic.
