Accreditation

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of The American College of Radiology and the Texas Radiological Society. The American College of Radiology is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The target audience for this activity is Medical Physicists, Radiation Oncologists, Radiologists and Residents/Fellows.

Claiming Credits

CME, RLI, SAMs, and ethics credits can now all be entered and claimed in one location on ACR's credit claiming website. Credits will be available to claim no later than 1 week post annual meeting. Credits must be claimed no later than May 30, 2020.

 

Physicians CME Credits

Diagnostic Radiology Program

The American College of Radiology designates this live activity for a maximum of 21 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Radiation Oncology Program

The American College of Radiology designates this live activity for a maximum of 14 .75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Ethics Credit

The following presentation has been designated for 1.00 credit of education in medical ethics and/or professional responsibility:

Self-Assessment Module (SAM) Credit

The following courses will be submitted for review by the American Board of Radiology to meet the criteria for self-assessment toward the purpose of fulfilling requirements in the ABR Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program:

  • Drs. Kwon & Morriss - Pediatric Radiology Lectures: 1.00 SAM credit
  • Drs. Kapoor & Lane - Breast Imaging Lectures: 1.00 SAM credit
  • Drs. Bilow & Sodickson - Body Lectures: 1.00 SAM credit
Radiation Oncology
  • Drs. Herman & Lee - Upper Abdominal Lectures: 1.00 SAM credit
  • Drs. Desai, Folkert and Tang - Prostate Radiotherapy Lectures: 1.50 SAM credits

Radiology Leadership Institute (RLI) Credits

The following courses has been submitted to the ACR Radiology Leadership Institute® (RLI) for up to 2.45 RLI credits:

  • Dr. Norbash - Leadership; Science, Examples, and Lessons Learned, .45 RLI credit
  • Dr. Patel - Value Based Radiology, 1.00 RLI credit
  • Dr. Patel - Navigating the World of Metric Fixation, 1.00 RLI credit

Modality Accreditation Program Credits

The CME obtained from this program also counts toward CME requirements for various modality accreditation programs. Use the Certificate of Modality Credits tracking form for calculating CME hours for modality accreditation purposes. Certificate of Modality form will be posted by mid-February.


  

Physicists MPCEC Credits

The Texas Radiological Society has applied to the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Education Programs, Inc. (CAMPEP) for approval of this educational program for up to 21 MPCEC hours for the Diagnostic Radiology Program and up to 14.75 MPCEC hours for the Radiation Oncology Program for a maximum of 21 hours of MPCEC.

Medical Physicists should use the MPCEC Reporting Form to record all lectures attended. Medical Physicists pre-registered for the meeting should receive an emailed copy of the MPCEC Reporting Form. Upon completion of the meeting, email your completed MPCEC reporting from to amie@txrad.org by March 13, 2020TRS staff will upload physicist credits to the CAMPEP system. MPCEC Reporting form will be posted by mid-February.

 

Presenters at this conference will disclose any conflict of interest or their intention to discuss off-label use, if applicable, at the beginning of their presentation and in accordance with the ACCME Standards for Commercial Support and FDA requirements.
